金瓜石神社，創建於明治31年(1898) 3月2日。為當時礦山經營者田中長兵衛(田中組)，有鑑於金瓜石礦山事業開始之時，土匪出沒頻繁，從業人員人心不安，為了安定人心，興建神社於金瓜石本山東端之地。
