淡水天元宮坐落於大屯山系西北面，距離淡水市區約5公里。天元宮創立於1970年代，正殿供奉無極老祖，主神為玉皇大帝；1992年增建「無極真元天壇」，五層聖殿高達200尺，圓形建築直徑達108尺，巍然壯觀 ，每一層聖殿供奉著無極界的諸位先佛，櫻花季時雄偉的天壇與櫻花相互映襯，非常值得一訪。
