說到花東地區的水域活動，最具知名度也最刺激的非「秀姑巒溪泛舟」莫屬了。在民國70年代，秀姑巒溪就已成為國內泛舟活動的首選之地。每到夏天泛舟旺季，從瑞穗大橋至長虹橋，全程24公里的泛舟河段上，只見一艘艘紅艷艷的橡皮艇將整段河道妝點得綺麗動人。
