自2017年起於南部院區辦理「故宮亞洲藝術節」，每年聚焦特定亞洲國家，配合當期亞洲主題特展，於10月份推出主題展示、闖關遊戲、服飾體驗創意課程、藝文表演、專題講座等活動，前已辦理印度、新加坡、泰國、蒙古、印尼、越南及韓國等國文化系列活動，每年度活動辦理期間吸引8萬至10萬國內外遊客參與體驗。
