緣起於民國67年鹿港民俗才藝活動，以行銷鹿港古蹟、人文、工藝、文化、美食在地特色為活動主軸。活動內容包含「迎龍王」儀式、中部縣市首長邀請賽、國際龍舟錦標賽、童玩技藝、魯班公宴等，促進城市互動與國際交流，展現鹿港鼎盛的文化風格；為讓更多人留宿鹿港，特別打造鹿港慶端陽光影藝術，以結合現代燈光科技，投影在公會堂歷史古蹟建築上，呈現光影交錯的時空對話
